Haiti - Culture : 6th Haitian Book Day (Montreal)

On Saturday, August 17, 2013, from 11:00 am, will open the 6th edition of the Haitian Book Day at Bistro Bouk'entrain of Centre N A Rive : 6971 rue St-Denis, corner Bélanger (metro Jean-Talon). This literary and cultural festival Haitian will be a time of sharing and a unique opportunity to immerse in the Haitian culture.

The guest of honor of the 6th edition is the poet, writer and director Haitian Syto Cavé, which at 5:00 p.m. will launch his latest book "QUI d'un soir" (CIDIHCA Edition) that he will share by reading some passages with the public.

In signing, find authors such as : Fred Doura, Marie Soeurette Mathieu, Roger Edmond, Pierre St-Sauveur, Jan J. Dominique, Joël Des Rosiers, Robert Berrouët-Oriol, Alix Renaud, Janine Renaud-Murat, Joujou Turenne, Stéphane Martelly, Roland Paret, Myrtelle Devilmé, Blondel Débrosse, Gary Klang, Sébastien Mathieu, Franz Benjamin, Rodney Saint-Éloi.

The Day Book is organized in collaboration with Haitian and Quebec partners,the publishing houses CIDIHCA, Mémoire d’encrier, DAMI, Société paroles, Triptyque, de la Bagnole, Boréal, Gallimard, Planète rebelle, Remue-ménage, Éditions du Marais, Educavision, GID, of Septembre, Vents d'ailleurs, of the Pleine Lune, the coffee cooperative Noula, the Libraries of Montreal and the Writing and Publishing Arts Council of Canada.
