Haiti - Health : Mobile Clinic in Petit-Goâve

On the occasion of the patronal Feast of Petit-Goâve, Our Lady of the Assumption, the First Lady of the Republic, Sophia Martelly, has installed for two days a mobile clinic in the town of Petit-Goâve.

This health facility put at the service of the population petit-goâvienne was composed of 2 consulting rooms, a pharmacy and a waiting room.

388 people including 76 men, 211 women and 101 children were able to benefit from free of general consultation and medicines during these two days. Some patients whose cases required further medical follow-up were taken into account.

The population enthusiastically welcomed this initiative of the wife of the Head of State that allowed them to quickly make a small medical checkup, and wished that Mrs. Martelly can continue in this way by facilitating the lives of the poorest.
