Haiti - Sports : Training Seminar for 300 instructors
The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) launched earlier this week a training seminar of a week for 300 youth coaches and instructors to the Versatile Training Center of Croix-des-Bouquets (CPF).

Selected on the basis of their knowledge and experience in the teaching of Physical and Sports Activities and sports training, aspiring instructors and trainers from the Department of the West, will be supervised by 16 technicians of the Department of Physical and Sports Activities (DAPS) of the Ministry.

The following points will be discussed during the seminar
- General physical activity;
- The psychology;
- Planning of a class of Sports and Physical Activities (APS);
- Theory and practice of athletics, the Basketball, Football, Volleyball;
- Organization and management of sports in schools.

At the launch the various interventions focused on the importance of instructors in schools for the development of sport and the need to educate not only a physically strong youth that support the environment, but also model citizens.



Ready to take this training that will enable them to have the tools necessary to work effectively in schools, participants applauded this initiative of MJSAC which contributes to creating sustainable jobs.

Gérard Mathieu Jr., Director General of the Ministry, urged participants to work on the development of the country by partnering with the vision of the Prime Minister Lamothe to make Haiti a country emerging by 2030, urging the instructors and sports animators to be at the service of the public interest and to perform their duties with discipline and availability.

This initiative of the Ministry that will affect other departments of the country during the fiscal year 2013-2014, is part of the Government's commitment to guarantee the sport and recreation practice for the whole population and especially young people in schools.
