Paul G. Altidor, Ambassador of Haiti to the United States, paid a visit as guest of honor at the Community Folk Art Center (CFAC) to Syracuse (New York) for the opening of the exhibition "Philippe Dodard : The Idea of Modernity in Haitian Contemporary Art", which showcases the rich history and vibrant art scene in Haiti. "We're trying to promote Haiti in a different way, so the idea of Haitian art is a way of showcasing a different side of Haiti," declared Ambassador Altidor.

The exhibition is held at 805 E. Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY 13210, every week from Tuesday to Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, until December 7, 2013. Free admission for the community.
