Haiti - Sports : Certification of 750 new sport instructors and animators for schools

Wednesday, President Michel Martelly, participated in a ceremony of delivery of certificates to sports instructors and animators for schools, at Multipurpose Training Centre of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, at ranch of Croix-des-Bouquets.

This ceremony was attended by Ms. Magalie Racine, Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), Ms. Marina Gourgue, Secretary of State for Vocational Training, Mr. Gonzague Day Departmental Delegate of the West and Marie Eveline Balan, the Mayor of the Croix-des-Bouquets, allowed to certify 750 youth who have received a 60-hours training in sports activities in school, in the framework of the project "Contract for the Future" (Contrat d'Avenir) set up by the MJSAC. The project Contract for the Future of MJSAC aims to train students and young people to contribute to the country's reconstruction.

"These 750 Youth will be dispatched in schools benefiting from PSUGO [Universal Schooling Program, Free and Compulsory], in the departments of West, North and North-East. They will work as school sports instructors," said the Minister Magalie Racine.

The Head of State, while welcoming the work of MJSAC, specified for new instructors and animators the responsibility that awaited them "This training and employment that you get at the same time, will inculcate you a sense of duty and citizenship, not only to yourself but also to society and young Haitians." Asking also to young people to get out of anonymity, to believe and work for the development of their communities.
