Haiti - Education : The Digicel Foundation built 100 schools !
The Digicel Haiti Foundation announced that it had reached the 100 schools already built across the country, allowing thousands of children to go to school every day in a safe environment.

Since its inception in March 2007, the Digicel Foundation has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of education in Haiti. With the latest openings : National School of Goyavier, National School of Moussignac, National School of Bas Pinal, National School of Ranquitte and the School Marie Reine Immaculée, more than 36,000 children now attend a school built by the Digicel Foundation.

At two months of the end of the year, the Foundation is pleased to confirm that it is on the right track to achieve its goal of building 150 schools across Haiti by the beginning of school year 2014.

Commenting on this achievement, Sophia Stransky, CEO of the Digicel Foundation declared "At the Digicel Foundation, each school opening is for us a moment of intense happiness that, not only, brings us closer to our goal but a pleasure in welcoming new students in this great family we are today. I take this opportunity to congratulate and thank our construction team, implementing firms, the community members and all those who work tirelessly to help us provide better infrastructure to thousands of Haitian children."
