This brand new building of 1,000 m2, built at a cost of 20 million gourdes (about 500,000 U.S. dollars) in strict compliance with the standards of modern construction, is part of the process of decentralization and deconcentration initiated by the DGI, within the framework of the implementation of its strategic modernization plan 2012-2017.

In his speech, the Head of State has indicated that this achievement reflects the sense of duty of the authorities in place, which are determined to provide local services to the population "Despite the limited resources of my administration, itmakes every effort to provide solutions to the problems of the country and improving the quality of services offered to the population," inviting all taxpayers to meet their tax obligations, to enable the State to find the resources to finance economic development projects for the benefit of the population.

For his part, Jean Baptiste Clark Neptune, stated that the Directorate General of Taxation, continued to modernize its administration by the construction of several buildings in different parts of the country, citing the new construction of the DGI in Hinche, Maïssade, Thomonde, Thomassique (in the department of Centre), Jérémie and Aquin.
