Haiti - Training : Launch of training program of Heavy Equipment Operator 15/11/2013 09:04:35
Tuesday, within the framework of program « Aba Chomaj » initiated by President Martelly, the Ministry of Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT), supported by the mayor of Port-au-Prince, has officially launched the training in Heavy Equipment Operator, designed to train young people being in precarious situations. hrough this program, these young generally witout trade, will be converted in heavy equipment operators. By implementing this training, which runs on successive classes of 8 weeks, with 25 apprentices operators of both sexes, per session, the Ministry intends to communicate a practical and most useful knowledge for the labor market, particularly in the field of reconstruction of infrastructure. Thus, no less than 200 young people will be able to become familiar with theoretical and practical sessions, to the handling, among others of : bulldozer, loader, compactor, excavator and grader, not to mention the maintenance of equipment, the techniques of basic work on a site, site signage and the duties and responsibilities of a heavy equipment operator.
