She is also a member of the Committee on Public Safety and Member of the Board of Directors of the Société de transport de Montreal. Selected as one of 40 ambassadors of the Faculty of Political Science and Law, UQAM, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of this institution, in 2010 she received a tribute of the Roundtable of the Month of Black History. While Nathalie Pierre-Antoine, also of Haitian descent, holder of a bachelor's degree in nutrition, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Management at McGill University and a Masters in Public Administration École nationale d’administration publique (ÉNAP), is Borough councillor at Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles.
