Haiti - Social : President Martelly deeply affected

In a note of the Office of Communication of the Presidency, the President Michel Martelly said he's "saddened by the disappearance Monday, November 25, of about thirty countrymen, following the sinking of their ship off the coast of Staniel Cay in the Bahamas. The Head of State, deeply affected by this tragedy, presents its sympathies to the families of victims. He took the opportunity to discourage citizens to venture offshore in 'makeshift boats'. The President of the Republic reiterates its commitment to maintaining in the country a stable environment conducive to investment and job creation in order to put an end to these dangerous practices."
