Haiti - Elections : UN, OAS, EU, and several friendly countries welcomed the vote of the electoral law

Following the vote on the same terms as the Senate of the electoral law Wednesday, by the deputies, convened since Friday, November 22 in extraordinary session by the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Haiti, Ms. Sandra Honoré, and the following members of the international community in Haiti, the ambassadors of Brazil, France, Canada, Spain, the United States America, and the Special Representative of the Organization of American and the Head of the Delegation of the European Union, welcomed the vote of the electoral law.

"This vote marks a significant milestone for the organization of elections inclusive, transparent and democratic. Representatives aforesaid urge all stakeholders to continue to work together to strengthen democracy and stability in Haiti, both essential to the socio-economic development of the country," they say.
