Haiti - Tourism : The tourism sector becomes a reality 14/03/2015 09:31:35
Friday at a press conference at the Primature Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industry provided an update on projects and activities in the tourism sector at this beginning of year.
In terms of performance, since the beginning of 2015, Haiti has participated in 4 international tourism fairs and will be present in several major upcoming events in Canada in France and Martinique.
She also mentioned that two loans of $1 million (to the BNC and BPH) are available for the associations of taxi drivers.
Furthermore she revealed that, with the adoption of the new amending budget (2014-2015) 14 new tourism projects will be launched in the country, especially in Seguin, Ti mouillage, saut du Baril, Port des Cayes, waterfront of Dame Marie, La Pointe in Jérémie, National Historic Park, etc…
