Haiti - Education : Dates of official examinations and big savings for the State

Thanks to measures taken in November by the Minister of Education Nesmy Manigat, the cost of state examinations should amount to 200 million gourdes against an average of 600 million, previous years announced Monday in a press conference, Rénold Telfort, the Director General of the Ministry of Education.

Recall that the Minister had announced "Now, for monitoring and the correction of copies of official examinations, teachers [Private or Public] will only be notified by the Ministry for this task that is part of their educational responsibility." In summary these teachers will no longer receive as in the past, additional compensation for this task. With this decision, the Ministry, these savings will allow the integration of more teachers in the education sector https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12587-haiti-education-end-of-additional-compensation-for-supervision-and-correction-of-exams.html However, a lump sum will be granted by the Ministry to eventually cover the costs of travel, accommodation and food of mobilized agents.

Dates pour les examens d’État :
9th fundamental year from 22 to 24 June (194.656 candidates) ;
Candidates of secondary school (ending) June 29 to July 3 (about 80,000 candidates).

Other official exams :
Candidates of National Schools of eachers (ENI), from 22 to 26 June;
Candidates of Family Education Centres (CEF) from June 22 to 26;
Candidates of Technical and Vocational Training (FTP) from July 31 to August 6.

Rénold Telfort recalled that in accordance with Articles 3 and 4 of the Presidential order dated 2 September 2014 regarding the reorganization of schools of the Republic, exams of 6th fundamental year and Bac part 1, are no longer include in official examinations from the academic year 2014-2015 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13724-haiti-notice-the-evaluations-replace-the-exams-of-6th-af-and-the-bac-1st-part.html The evaluations will be organized directly in public and private schools following the 2014-2015 school year projections for the 4th control, that is to say during the period from 15 to 29 June 2015.
