Haiti - Baranquilla 2018 : First results for Haiti
Haiti participates from July 20 to August 5, 2018 in the 23rd Central American and Caribbean Games held in Barranquilla, Colombia, in 8 disciplines: football, basketball 3x3, athletics, table tennis, swimming, weightlifting, judo and beach volleyball.

Régine Lamur, the resigning Minister of Youth, regrets that the National Women's Olympic Football Selection could not take part in this competition https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-24500-icihaiti-france-2018-350-000-dollars-for-the-preparation-of-our-grenadieres.html making a blow to our young Grenadières who worked hard and sacrificed themselves to represent the country and defend the national colors at these important regional games.

Minister Lamur, wishes brilliant performances to our athletes and expresses the wish to see them brandishing our two-color high.

# 1 Costa Rica: Valverde Solis E (lane 4) 53 seconds and 19 hundredth
# 2 Haiti: Vincent Davidson (Corridor 3) 56 seconds and 81 hundredth
# 3 Haiti: Dossous Papy (corridor 5) 59 seconds and 97 hundredth

The world record is held by Cuban Garcia Hánser in 49 seconds (2014)

Weight lifting:
Friday, July 20 / man 46kg
Haitian Joseph Edouard # 36 (Group A) placed 4th with 106 kg (100, 106, failure in the third attempt with 109kg)
The event was won by the Dominican Garcia Luis Alberto # 46 with 123 kg (117,121,123) who set a new world record

Table tennis :
Saturday 21 July / in individual
Haitian table tennis player St-Fleur, who faced Venezuelan Navas Marco, was beaten [3-0] (11-7, 11-3 and 11-6)
