Haiti - Football : Preparation for the Gold Cup without the help of the State

Thursday at a press conference at the Marriott Hotel Yves Jean Bart aka "Dadou", the President of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) gave an update on the next participation of the Haitian national football team in the 15th edition of the Gold-Cup will take place this year in three countries (USA Costa Rica and Jamaica) with 16 participating Nations.

"We have no signal from the Haitian State so far despite the brilliant qualification of the Grenadiers for CONCACAF League A and the Gold Cup, while the FHF has increased the team's staff in order fine-tune the game preparation of our Grenadiers who set the bar very high to know how to play at least the 1/2 finals" said Jean-Bart.

A maximum preparation for a satisfactory result is the watchword of the FHF which takes everything under its responsibility emphasized "Dadou" before detailing the upcoming calendar :

Sunday, May 26, beginning of the rally of the players at the IMG Academy of Bradenton in Florida where they will stay 5 days;
May 31, delegation moved to Washington DC;
June 2, first test-match against El Salvador;
June 3, the Haitian delegation will leave Washington to Santiago de Chile to face on June 6 the Selection of Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal and others;
7 June, the Haitian delegation will leave Chile to Costa Rica where grenadiers will take seat 9 days before the start of the Gold Cup;
June 11, our national team will perform a final test match against Guyana;
June 16 Start of the competition against Bermuda at the National Stadium of Costa Rica, an opponent apparently within reach but we must still be wary;
June 20, 2nd Grenadiers game in the Gold Cup against Nicaragua, Toyota Stadium of Frisco (Dallas, Texas USA);
June 24 last Group match against Costa Rica at Red Bull Arena in Harrisso.

Jean-Bart took the opportunity to invite the thousands of Haitians living in Chile, Central America and especially the diaspora in the United States, to support the Grenadiers in these encounters "We know how many are our compatriots who are in Chile, Central America and especially in the United States and are proud of our latest results, we invite them to come in impressive numbers in the various matches of the national team (friendlies and Gold Cup), a way to accompany our grenadiers who say they are ready to give everything to bring a smile to a people long suffering."
