Haiti - Politic : Bicameral Commission, election of a provisional bureau already contested...
Gathered Friday at Parliament, 9 deputies and 1 senator, of the Bilateral Commission responsible for appointing the representatives of College Transitional of Permanent Electoral Council (CTCEP), have elected a provisional bureau composed of : of deputy Altès Toussaint (President), of senator Wancesclass Lambert, (Vice-president) and of deputy Jean Danton Léger (Secretary-Rapporteur). This election puts an end to rumors of an alleged dissolution of the Commission, launched this week by the Senator Steven Benoît.

For the Secretary-Rapporteur, there is no deputy or Senator in this Commission, only of Commissioners, inviting the 4 Commissioners senators who did not participate, to be present next Monday for the final formation of the bureau.

For the Senator Mélius Hyppolite "this provisional bureau is illegal," pointing out that the Senator Wancesclass Lambert is not representative of Commissioners senators, adding that the differences of approaches have not been resolved. He believes that the Presidents of the two Chambers must intervene to help overcome the crisis...

For his part the Deputy Sadrack Dieudonné, President of the opposition minority bloc "Parliamentarians for Institutional Strengthening" (PRI), whose members have refused to participate in the Commission continues to denounce the deputies of majority bloc pro Martelly "Parliamentarians for Stability and Progress" (PSP) that they accuses of being manipulated by the Executive.

While awaiting the eventual resolution of the many differences within the Commission, the Secretary-Rapporteur, stated that the bureau will begin reviewing the application files to designate the 3 representatives, of Parliament at CTCEP before the end of February.
