Haiti - Politic : Bicameral Commission, the Lower House wins 9-8
The Saga of the composition of the Bicameral Commission, responsible for choosing the 3 representatives of the Legislative Power at College Transitional of Permanent Electoral Council (CTCEP) has ended. Recall that after the first proposal (9-4) rejected by the Senate, followed by a joint proposal of the Senate Monday, February 11 (7-7) finally ended with an agreement Monday, February 18, between the two chambers by a final composition 9-8 in favor od deputies...

Following the establishment of the Commission, the Senator Simon Dieuseul Desras President of the Senate, speaking to the members of the Commission stated "[...] I tell you bluntly, nor circumlocution convoluted, the essence and substance of your mandate is to choose in the next 10 days the three representatives of parliament at CTCEP[...] I urge you fellow Commissioners, to do the task with the consciousness of a mission sacrosanct not concede any compromise [...] to not make of you of auxiliary of strategies unavowable, and be perceived as complicit of trends malicious, unjustified and unexplained delays..."

Remember that for 21 months the local government authorities have no popular mandate, and are named, that the Senate is reduced by one third of its members since May 8, 2012, jeopardizing the proper functioning and that the implementation of the Electoral Council responsible for the organization of coming elections this year, is a democratic imperative for Haiti.
