Haiti - Diplomacy : Messages and declarations of sympathy to President Hugo Chavez 06/03/2013 09:28:00
The Organization of People in Struggle (OPL): "Despite the seriousness of his illness, the death of President Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías causes deep pain within the progressive of the world, and particularly the brotherly peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean. Indeed, the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, hoisted Venezuela, in the space of thirteen years, at the height of its history: a history marked by the grandiose dream of Simón Bolívar, whose good effects are felt more than ever nowadays. The nationalism and patriotism of the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, its policy of social reparation and of creation of an inclusive society fall within the perspective of the construction of the nation-state Venezuela. Petrocaribe program and the creation of the ALBA [Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of Our America] are an expression of the vision Latino-American and Caribbean of the late disappeared, which has always shown unwavering solidarity with the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean. He proclaimed throughout the invaluable role of Haiti in the heroic struggle of the Latin American countries for their independence. In this painful circumstance, OPL bowed humbly before the remains of President Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías and took the opportunity to present its heartfelt condolences to the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), to the Government and the brotherly people of Venezuela affected by this heartbreaking grief."
