Haiti - Diplomacy : President Martelly pays tribute to Hugo Chavez

The President Michel Martelly, expressed his dismay at the death of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, this Tuesday, March 5, 2013, after a long illness bravely borne.

The Head of State pays a vibrant tribute to this great friend of Haiti, who has missed no opportunity to express his solidarity with the Haitian people in their most difficult moments. Through Petrocaribe program, President Chavez has contributed greatly to the execution of major projects across the Haitian territory in favor of sustainable development.

In this painful occasion, the Head of the State address on behalf of the Government and people of Haiti, his deepest condolences to the Venezuelan people and the family of President Chavez.
