Saturday, the First Lady of the Republic, Sophia Martelly, received in the gardens of the National Palace, several hundred people from the third age, came from different parts of the metropolitan area. This day, which was held in a friendly atmosphere, was placed under the sign of respect and admiration for seniors.

While commending the courage and contribution to the
social balance of this category of citizens, Sophia Martelly shared a moment of happiness with the various participants. She took the opportunity to give them presents. A gesture that recipients interpreted as a sign of hope and comfort in this time of Christmas.

The First Lady believes that the elderly need attention and security not only reaffirmed its deep concern for them, but also renewed its intentions to work towards the improvement of their condition of existence. She urged all segments of the population to be in solidarity with these people, offering them moral support and accompaniment needed in their activities
