Haiti - Economy : Towards an increased Production of «Dous Makòs» in Petit-Goâve

On the sidelines of the Programme "Gouvènman an Lakay Ou" held in Petit Goâve last Saturday, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, met with small traders and producers of "Dous Makos" of the town of Petit-Goâve, for the local and international promotion of that sweetmeat and the increase of production capacity, in compliance with international health standards.

To this end, Prime Minister Lamothe, decided to frame some producers of "Dous Makòs" in Petit-Goâve, so that this beloved confection and consumed by all, is produced in larger quantities and promised to 3 companies "Kay Lavaud", "Kay Labarre" and "Madame Dauphin", an of 500,000 gourdes each. An initiative that has been highly appreciated.

Minister Lamothe encourages the population and diaspora to eat more "Dous Makòs" in order to contribute to the economy of this sector.
