Haiti - Politic : Laurent Lamothe at the 44th World Economic Forum

Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe will leave the country this Wednesday, January 22, 2014, to participate in the 44th edition of the World Economic Forum, which starts today in Davos, Switzerland and will end Sunday, January 26.

For 5 days, more than 40 Heads of State, 2,500 representatives of governments, the business community and non-governmental institutions from 100 countries, will participate in discussions that revolve around four main themes: the impact of innovations on contemporary life ; prospects for global development ; participation of civil society in economic processes and population growth.

That participation of the Prime Minister Lamothe to this High Level Forum, is part of efforts by the Administration Martelly to revive the Haitian economy and reduce social inequalities, while exploring other fields of opportunities.

The Head of Government intends on this occasion present to world economic leaders in Davos, the potential of Haiti and business opportunities to facilitate and attract new investment in the country, to create the largest number of possible jobs and improve sustainable living conditions of the people of Haiti.
