Haiti - Politic : Inter-Haitian Dialogue, turnabout of Fanmi Lavalas... 28/01/2014 09:56:50
The surprise came from the turnabout of Fanmi Lavalas, which contrary to its statements last Friday which stated that the conditions were not yet in place for the holding of this dialogue. This is Maryse Narcisse, the Coordinator of Fanmi Lavalas, accompanied by Pasha Vorbe and Antony Dessources, who officially represented Monday the party of former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. However, this presence remains cautious for the moment "Fanmi Lavalas is simply there to listen [...] After will come our proposals, such as the formation of a credible Electoral Council. We do not rule out the possibility of leaving the table in case the people's demands are not taken into account. As members of the "Patriotic Movement of the Democratic Opposition" (MOPOD), which brings together the main opposition parties they maintained a hard line refusing dialogue by maintaining their policy of the empty chair, with the exception of "Konvansyon inite Demokratik "(KID), which was represented Monday by Paul Evans, the KID having decided to dissent with a platform of opposition.
