In a note dated February 14, 2014, Jean Renel Sanon, the Minister of Justice and Public Security, asking all leaders of political parties registered in its records, to provide evidence within 60 days, that they continue to exist and that they intend to participate in the political life of the country, in accordance with Article 61 of the Law of 23 April 2013 on the formation, operation and financing of political parties.

Article 61 :

"Upon entry into force of this Act, the Department of Justice request by mail with return receipt and also through the press to all political parties in its registers to demonstrate that they continue to exist and tha they intend to participate in the political life of the country, by indicating in a letter signed by their current leaders: their address, the composition of their current management with the coordinates of their leaders. They also provide the proof of the reunion of their statutory bodies competent to renew their democratically directorate.

Political parties have a period of sixty (60) days after receipt of the letter from the Ministry or the dissemination of the note in the major newspapers and major media, to provide information and documents mentioned above. After this period, the parties who do not express will see their legal legal recognition abolished and their names struck from the records of the Ministry."

Accordingly, the Ministry of Justice, asking all political party leaders to comply with the requirements of this Act.
