Haiti - Politic : Wencesclass Lambert apologizes but blames the victim 14/03/2014 10:07:39
"The whole country knows that there has been an incident Sunday, March 10, 2014, which put me struggling with Daniel Théodore. The whole country also know my reaction," declared Senator Lambert, before reading his letter of apology "On behalf of republican morality, I apologize to my family, to the nation, to the Haitian both inside and outside the country, to he Senate of the Republic, the institution to which I belong, to my constituents, the Department of South-East in general and finally Daniel Théodore for this unfortunate incident." However, far from being limited a simple apology, Senator Wencesclass Lambert took the opportunity to advise, criticize and make the victim responsible for what happened "I took the opportunity to provide a salutary advice, does not continue in this way, it will not be good for you. You must not disturb a meeting you had not even been invited. This is the vagrancy !" Continuing "[...] Daniel Théodore is indeed victim because of his bad behavior, his action. I am also a victim because I fell into his little trap. If he respected himself, this does not happen." While acknowledging that he made a mistake by responding as he did, Senator Wencesclass Lambert that promises that it will not happen again, said he was available to answer justice "I believe in the justice of my country. I will appear personally before the competent court. I will submit to all decisions taken by the court in this matter."
