Tuesday following the message to youth issued last week by Professor Leslie François Manigat, the young of Rally of Progressive National Democrats (RDNP), represented by Présumé Montès, Coordinator of the National Youth Council of the RDNP, Nerlande Lacossière, Wanick Cande and Sulface Jean Udler, with the authorization of Mrs. Mirlande Hyppolite Manigat, Secretary General of the party, invited the Haitian youth to join the Party "The Rally of Progressive National Democrats (RDNP) is the alternative ! We invite, like the professor and founder of the party, all the youth of the country to join us to save the bark of this Nation experiencing shipwreck [...] to start a youth movement RDNP Haiti. This is the time to tell young people that they have their place within the party. They will be trained to become leaders capable of leading the country to its true destination [...]"

Regarding the participation of RNPD in the next elections, while the Party gathered in the "Patriotic Movement of the Democratic Opposition" (MOPOD) which opposes to the elections under the current government and promotes the departure of President Martelly, they carefully avoid answering the question, noting that this decision was within of the Management Board of the party.

Text of the call to the youth of Leslie Manigat :
"All my life I have led the good fight patriotic and I drove the Rally of Progressive National Democrats, since its foundation in 1980, on the way to building democracy, respect for others, the great struggle for social justice and national independence.

My dear friends, I want to speak to you, youth of my country, the glory of Haiti.

I always believed in the youth of my country and hoped that our children and grandchildren found on their way, for the citizen succession, for when it came time to change life truly in a gathering momentum, a RDNP always renewed, modernized, adapted tothe 'the imperatives of the situation' changing.

I have always recommended a collaboration between veterans of the first generation still active, the younger came swell the ranks and younger that you are who spoof the rising sap of renewal, before reaching out to turn.

Young Haitians inside and outside, it is to you that I make this appeal in these difficult times in our life of people. Gather ! Join our ranks, engage yourself in the RDNP. And it is a duty that I tell you what it really is :

A party that is a big family and that values all families ;

A party that believes in the equality of all human beings, men and women, citizens and peasants, intellectuals and workers, believers of all religions, those who had the chance to attend school and illiterate. It's the latter who made you aware that 'Tout moun se moun' hence its first slogan ;

A party that defends the triple motto of true democracy to build, patriotism and social justice conceived as a priority commitment to the poorest and not the assistantship ;

A party that proposes the successful alliance between the values and traditions of the country and the possibilities offered by modern technology ;

A party, open to the outside world, which believes in collaboration between people and countries, the effectiveness of universal dialogue in mutual respect ;

A party that continues to advocate the urgent need for training at all levels through the transmission of knowledge to all, as a prerequisite for the country's development.

This large party that renews and must become the party of youth, the party of the family, the labor party, the Justice Party, the party of the reconquest of national dignity.

Youth of my country, come share all that with us and enrich our experience. You, progressive youth, who have always dared,still dare! And gather yourself in the people's house for the big national rescue.

More than ever, the Alternative, is us.

The alternative is you!"
