Haiti - Tourism : The largest tour operator in Martinique interested by Haiti

After the presences remarked at Caribbean Market Place in Montego Bay, Jamaica (12-14 January 2014), to the Fair of Transat in Florida (January 16), to the FITUR, the second most important tourism fair in the world (21 to 24 January), at ITB Berlin (March 5 to 9) the first Tourism Fair in the world, the Ministry of Tourism present to the 16th edition of "Fair Travel & Holiday" which brought together from 21 to 23 March at the Palais des Congrès Madiana, Martinique, more than one hundred professionals of Tourism and Recreation (agencies travel, tour operators and airlines) has promoted the touristic wealth of Haiti.

Note that this 5th participation of the Ministry of Tourism since the beginning of the year, is part of the 14 events scheduled in the calendar of the Department of Promotion of the Ministry of Tourism for the year 2014.

During this fair, Georges Siméon and Stéphanie Alexandre, member of the delegation of the Ministry of Tourism, held a working session with Karine Roy-Camille, President of Martinique Tourism Committee (CMT) and Director of the Agency Foyal Tour (the largest tour operator in Martinique). It was agreed that a mission of Foyal Tour will visit Haiti in early June to assess the tourism potential of the country and the circuit likely to be offered in a possible package. The destination Haiti, will appear in the travel brochure 2015 of Foyal Tour. They also met Philippe Calmels, the Director of Agencies Roger Albert, about the possibility for these agencies to propose travel packages to Haiti.
