Tuesday morning, employees and security agents of the Office National Old Age Insurance (ONA), organized a demonstration and chained the main gate of the institution, preventing employees in ONA to get out and anyone entering.

The protest was directed against Bernard Desgraff, the Director General of the ONA (in office since January 2010), to whom they reproach among others : revocations and arbitrary transfers of staff, the removing of their health insurance, of a ebit card issued by the previous administration, of favoritism in lending, mismanagement and waste of funds of the institution, demanding his revocation unconditionally.

The Deputy Arnel Bélizaire, present at the scene, said he was very happy to see that there is still consequent Haitians, encouraging protesters to continue their fight to force the President of the Republic to remove the Director General of the ONA.

To restore order, Gérald D. Norgaisse the Government Commissioner of Port-au-Prince, accompanied by the Corps of Intervention and Maintenance of Order (CIMO) has reopened the gate and out the employees sequestered within the ONA. During this intervention, 9 security guards of ONA were arrested and taken to the prosecutor for hearing.

At Prosecutor shortly after the arrival of the individuals, the Deputy Bélizaire at the head of a heavily armed commando, after making the disarmament of police officers in charge of protecting the building, taken out the 9 defendants (who did not have time to be interviewed) before returning with them aboard all-terrain vehicles.

The Commissioner explained that the substitute and police officers to the prosecution, could do nothing face the threat of armed men, who accompanied the Deputy stating that "This army broke into one of the most respected institutions of the judiciary reflects the disrespect and disregard of Mr. Bélizaire for the separation of powers and institutions of the Republic..."

Reacting to the intervention of the armed commando, Me Jean Renel Sanon, the Minister of Justice for the less revolted declared, "This is serious, the democracy is in danger, the justice is in jeopardy," noting that he expected the report of the Government Commissioner before bringing these facts to the attention of the President of the Chamber of Deputies and make the suites according to the law...
