Haiti - Politic : Some clarifications of the Minister of Communications
Thursday during a press conference, Rudy Hériveaux, the new Minister of Communication https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10877-haiti-politic-toward-the-end-of-disinformation-campaigns-in-the-media.html , wanted to clarify three points: the minimum wage, the budget of the Republic and a petition of the "Democratic Action to Build Haiti" (ADEBHA).

On the minimum wage, the Minister Hériveaux indicated that from 1 May 2014 the minimum wage of reference, on report motivated of Superior Council of Wages at the Ministry of Social Affairs, will experience an adjustment based on a presidential decree dated 16 April of the same year [fixed at 240.00 gourdes / day for companies in segment B and 225.00 gourdes / day for companies in segment C for 8 hours a day between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm]

Regarding the 2013-2014 budget, Dr. Rudy Hériveaux has guaranteed that according to the vision of the administration Martelly / Lamothe everything will be implemented "for a rational and sound management of resources of the State" wishing to reassure inter alia the teachers, police officersand health professionals that special attention will be granted to them in this budget. Noting in particular that "All arrangements are made by the authority in the context of monitoring of the question of the increase in the salary scale of teachers."

Finally, the Minister of Communications, has responded to a petition circulated by the "Democratic Action for Build Haiti" which conveys "grotesque accusations, frivolous and unfounded" even posing an ultimatum to the Head of State. He appealed to the head of ADEBAH for it to show "respect and elegance towards all the authorities of the country," and to work rather "to the strengthening of prestige of republican institutions."
