Haiti - Education : National Tour of the Minister of Education 28/04/2014 10:07:05 During his visits to Cap Haitien and Gonaives, the Minister met with the staff director of the DDE, inspectors, some school directors and representatives of the teachers union platform of the region. According to the Minister, these visits register, within the framework of a national tour to allow him to better understand the problems of each region, to begin a dialogue with actors in the field and enhance motivation of the Education staff to better face the challenges of the sector. It is necessary, he said, "to strengthen the dialogue with all social partners, including trade unions, which have an important role in the revival of the Haitian school role." The Minister Manigat rejoiced of the exchange initiated and of the favorable reception of the actors to such an approach. He said become aware at each visit of the immensity of the task, which requires the involvement of each actor and of each citizen, which should contribute to rebuilding the education sector, saying as he had already done during installation "The task can be harsh and difficult, but the latter is however, not above our capabilities." He took the opportunity to reaffirm to his various stakeholders, the determination of the highest authorities of the country, in particular the President and the Head of Government, who are committed to the realization of quality education, accessible to all.
