Haiti - Social: Mission of the Minister Delegate Rose Anne Auguste in Île-à-Vache
As part of the implementation of the actions envisaged in Île-à-Vache, Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of Human Rights and the Fight Against Extreme Poverty, accompanied by five Cuban collaborators, recently undertook a mission of twenty-four hours on the Île-à-Vache.

Three cooperating, working in the field of construction, studied for three days the possibility of transforming the health center of the locality of Madame Bernard in a referral hospital.

The other two Cubans, members of the Cuban Educational Brigade are on-site for ten days in the objective of achieving the screening of people who can neither read nor write in the area. The minister Delegate took advantage of this mission to visit social infrastructure projects underway in the localities of Trou Milieu and Kay Kòk. During his visit, as part of the National Programme "Ede Pèp" proceeded to the distribution of 1,000 baskets of solidarity to heads of families in the communities of Madame Bernard, La Hatte,heads of families in the communities of Madame Bernard, La Hatte, Figuier, etc... n addition, 3,143 heads of households received a voucher of solidarity 1,000 gourdes of the cash transfer component of the social program.

In addition, the Minister Augustus, met with members of the population professional fishermen around the implementation of the development plan for the island.
