He argued for the strengthening and sustainability of that successful agreement. In the perspective of the organization of the forthcoming elections, President Martelley told to Raul Castro, the various advances and reiterated its strong commitment to put all necessary means available to the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) so that it can, independently and transparently, organize free, fair and democratic elections in the country at the end of this year. In the context of major regional issues, the two Presidents agreed on the need to walk at the same pace in the dynamics of integration and development, including at the CARICOM level. At the end of this trip the President Michel Martelly and Raul Castro agreed to continue to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation that characterize the Haitian-Cuban relations.
