Haiti - Health : $2.5M to equip in solar energy Hospital La Providence in Gonaïves 24/05/2014 14:49:53 This donation of $2.5 million is intended to the installation of 4,000 m2 of solar panels to provide 200 KW to power four priority areas of the Hospital La Providence of Gonaïves, including the emergency department. Recall that the construction of the modern hospital, which will be a reference center is funded by the Canadian International Development Agency to the tune of 17 million dollars (14.3 million initially) via UNOPS (United Nations Office for Project Services). It is built in Morne Blanc, by the Spanish Group Abantia, in consortium with Construcciones Cots y Claret. Covering an area of 10,380 m2 and a capacity of 200 beds, the new Hospital will have for vocationcare for mothers and children.
