Haiti - Justice : Repatriation of an alleged key witness in the case of Jean Dominique 22/06/2014 10:03:49
Saturday, Philippe Markington, an alleged key witness in the murder April 3, 2000, of the militant journalist Jean Léopold Dominique and of security guard of the radio station, Jean Claude Louissaint, shot on the courtyard of the station Radio Haiti Inter, has been repatriated from Argentina, where he had taken refuge, on board a flight of Copa Airlines to be heard by the judge in charge of the investigation, due to important information that would hold Markington, for the continuation of the investigation. Recall that at the relevant time, when the first instruction of the investigation Philippe Markington had been auditioned and then detained in the National Penitentiary where he escaped in 2004 to find refuge in Argentina. Under the pressure of an international warrant issued by Interpol, he was arrested in Buenos Aires by the Argentine federal police in April. Members of the Central Directorate of Judicial Police have escorted Markington from Buenos Aires to Port-au-Prince where he is now at the disposal of the Haitian justice.
Let's hope that justice in Haiti take all measures for the safety of Markington, to avoid like so many others in this double murder, that in turn in become also victim of invisible hands... See also : https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-8033-haiti-news-some-news-here-and-there.html S/ HaitiLibre
