Haiti - Insecurity : A peacekeeper targeted

Thursday morning, a Yemeni peacekeeper in civilian and a Haitian woman was targeted by robbers whereas they left Sogebank in Pétion-ville.
Jean-Francois Vezina, Spokesperson of the UN police said that three gunmen on motorcycles shot the soldier and the woman as he left the bank, the robbers took an undisclosed amount of money. Taken to hospital in emergency, the health condition of the 2 victims is stable.
This aggression is one of several armed robberies of banks and exchange offices (SogeExpress Western Union, CAM) in recent weeks.
