François Guillaume II, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) announces to the entire community of the Diaspora, especially the citizens living in the Dominican Republic that following its assessment mission on 24, 25 and 26 June in neighboring republic https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11549-haiti-politic-final-details-before-the-launch-of-pidih-in-dominican-republic.html , after delivery of its evaluation report, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, after several considerations of the Government has agreed in the framework of Identification and Documentation Program for Immigrants Haitians (PIDIH), that the price of the single envelope (Extract from the Archives, CIN and Passport) for fellow Haitians living illegally in the Dominican Republic is set to 1,000 pesos instead of 2,400 pesos originally fixed, a reduction of 60% in order to facilitate the access for population known for their precariousness and vulnerability.

The Minister Guillaume II, also announced that the official launch of PIDIH will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Santo Domingo "I want to remind all compatriots living around the world, that the PIDIH, is and remains a state responsibility and a priority for the Administration Martelly/Lamothe," stressed François Guillaume, reiterating its objectives which are "to initiate a Census campaign ; to Mobilize the 'Forces Vives' ; to Remake the image of Haiti and Establish of Home Networks in the Diaspora."

Moreover, MHAVE promises to accompany the diaspora in its integration and its continuing involvement in the sustainable development of Haiti.
