Soon a Japanese factory of digital television in Haiti ?
The National Council of Telecommunications (CONATEL) finalizes its plan for standardization and regulation of digital television, which will apply the same standards as those in the United States. A study on the economics and techniques of this technology is underway. The Conatel has established 25 mobile units across the country who are responsible for checking the quality of services provided by mobile telephony companies. Also Jean Marie Guillaume, Director General of CONATEL announced that a Japanese firm is interested to come settle in Haiti a factory manufacturing digital television sets.

Visit of sites under construction in Jacmel/Bassin Bleu
Friday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries, accompanied by Ms. Dithny Joan Raton,e Departmental Director of Tourism South East visited of sites in Jacmel. Workshop bilateral against tuberculosis

In order to fight against TB on Haitian and Dominican territories, the Ministry of Health this week organized a binational two-day workshop with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the National Control Programme against tuberculosis (PNLT) to provide an update on the situation of tuberculosis on the island and validate joint plan to fight against this disease.
