Haiti - Reconstruction : A Chinese delegation talking about large-scale projects with President Martelly

Friday at the National Palace, President Michel Martelly, held a working meeting with a delegation of the China Automation Control System Corporation (CACS) Company led by his Vice-president, Zhang Sihong which was accompanied by engineers of the China Airport Construction Group Corporation (CACC), a Chinese company specialized in the construction of airport infrastructure.

The realization of certain major projects of the Government Martelly-Lamothe have been at the center of discussions whose among others :

  • The rehabilitation of access roads to the airport Toussaint Louverture ;

  • The international highway Malpasse/Croix-des-Bouquets/Tabarre ;

  • The dam of Trois Rivières ;

  • The departemental road Port-au-Prince/Port-de-Paix ;

  • The tourism project of Côtes-de-Fer.

Furthermore, during this meeting, where other topics were discussed, Mr. Zhang Sihong, confirmed the interest of the CACS, to rebuild the airport of Port-au-Prince and finance the works. Recall that a first expressions of interest had already been expressed on this project in November 2013.
