Haiti - Music : 33rd International Reggae & World Music Awards

The Haitian nominees, as well as the Reggae and World Music nominees at the 33rd International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA) will be revealed this Saturday, August 23rd starting 10pm EST from the studios of Onstage TV in Jamaica.

The event will also be broadcasted on Hot 105.1FM in South Florida and webcasted on www.martinsworldmusicradio.com; www.onstage.com; www.hot105fm.com.

Experts from the music industry from all over the word have spoken. A special Haitian Jury panel comprised of experts of the Haitian music industry from Haiti, France, New York, Boston, Florida and Canada has nominated the Best Haitian Entertainers of 2013-2014.

The nominations were based on materials/songs released between January 2013 and July 31st, 2014 (a 6 months extension for this 33rd Awards). Jury took into consideration the social relevance of materials, originality, sales, local/national/international performances, quality of performances, and stage appearances.

"We count on the participation of all Haitians at this unique global Awards show in order to increase the promotion and exposure of the Haitian music on the global music industry," said DECLARED Farah Larrieux, the Director of THELAR Management Group who is also the Regional Event Manager for the IRAWMA.

Each year the International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA), produced by Martin's International Culture, honors over 200 reggae and world music industry individuals, groups and artists for their outstanding work in their specific category.
