It is this Saturday, September 6, 2014, at the Karibe Convention Center, at the end of a gala evening, that the public will discover Miss Haiti 2014. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and will continue with 2h30 of show and surprises concocted by Haitian designer Ralph Leroy which signs the artistic direction of the coronation gala of Miss Haiti 2014. It's the Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean Louis of Haitian descent, interpreter of Toussaint Louverture in the film of the same name, which will host the evening.

The crowning of Miss Haiti 2014 will close the evening. Among all Miss competing, fifteen Miss are selected in the first round. This selection is made a few days before by the Miss Haiti 2014 Committee, which evaluated individually the Miss based on appreciation and points accumulated during the 8 weeks of training. The announcement will be made during the first part of the evening. These 15 candidates then will parade in bathing suits and the jury, composed of 9 personalities recognized, will have to retain 10, on their physical appearance and their allure. The 10 aspirants shortlisted will then be presented to the jury and the public in formal attire. It is from these elements that the jury will select 5 finalists. Counts of points will be made by the auditing firm KPMG.

Of the last five Miss shortlisted will be elected Miss Haiti and four dauphines (designation made by the jury), who will represent Haiti in various competitions including: Miss World, Miss International, Miss Supranational...
