Haiti - Social : Miss Haiti 2014 is... Carolyn Desert !

The final of Miss Haiti 2014 was held Saturday at the Karibe Hotel, Juvenat 7 Petionville, before a sellout crowd. On this occasion Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, Minister of Tourism, in his circumstantial discourse has already announced that the casting for Miss Haiti 2015 will start on 1 October 2014.

Then were assigned thematic adward before unveiling the Top 15.

Winners of the thematic adward are :
Soraya Jean François - Miss Humanitarian and Miss Conviviality ;
Christie Desir - Miss Popular and Miss Top Model ;
Rose Cathelyne Paul - Miss Bikini ;
Carolyne Desert - Miss Photogenic.

The candidates were then paraded in swimsuits, before the presentation of Top 10.

TOP 5 :
The selected Miss marched then in evening dress before the Jury. The judges chose five of them that have each to answer to a question before the final deliberation.

5. Rose Cathelyne Paul.

After deliberation the jury elected :
4e Dauphine : Jennifer Verdieu ;

2e Dauphine : Christie Desir ;
AND... Miss Haiti 2014 : Carolyn Desert ! (West Department) who stated, moved "Hi everyone, I have it [the crown], I thank all my supporters, all fans, everyone I know and I do not know, thank you very much."

Young woman entrepreneur, Carolyn opened its first restaurant to 24 years. Although she is also a model, Carolyn realizes that plastic beauty is ephemeral, also she has in mind moult projects, including writing a book and opening other restaurants. Proud of her womanhood and her country, she has already supported action involving nearly 700 orphans and intends to invest socially with organizing our little brothers and sisters. For her, being yourself and know to be unique is more important than anything. She wants to be an inspiration for young women of her age. "I am a woman who running after her dreams," she said. Ambition, projects she has a head full, Carolyn has no limit.
