Haiti - Politic : Law on Electronic Signature voted in the Lower House

The Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT), welcomes the vote of deputies of the law on "Electronic Signature" before the close of regular works of the 49th Legislature. The MICT is pleased with this step completed, that will benefit to the proper functioning including of the Department of Immigration and Emigration, which has already begun the process that should lead to the production of electronic passports in Haiti in 2015, following the recommendations of the Office of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), competent body for control and validation of passports in the world.

Also, the Minsitry now argue for ratification in the Senate of the law on the "Electronic Signature", essential tool to pass from the "readable passport" as known today, to the Electronic Passport" more reliable and safe.

The MICT also defends the adoption by Parliament of the Law on Electronic Administration for a more efficient administration between the administration and citizens.
