Haiti - Politic : Signing of MoU Fulbright-Clinton

Friday Uder Antoine, the General Coordinator of the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH) who represented the Haitian government and the American Ambassador Pamela White, initialed the MoU of the Fulbright-Clinton program.

The signing of the MOU between the two countries, is a proof of mutual understanding and demonstrated commitment to contribute to the modernization of the administrative apparatus of the state. This agreement, that relate to the Haitian public Administration aims to promote exchanges, including cultural, between the two peoples. Experienced for many years, this program allows American citizens with a level of mastery or undertaking doctoral studies, to work as part of skills transfer or research in the Haitian public administrations for one year.

As part of this partnership, the Haitian government will host on 29 September two women fellows, one of theme will be allocated to the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) and the other to the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP).

The general Coordinator of the OMRH said rely on mutual understanding that this partnership tends to favor. According to him, "it represents an opportunity for the Haitian public service that greatly need strengthening in terms of human resources [...] It goes without saying that this program is going to help, firstly to strengthening mutual understanding between the two governments and on the other, contribute to the development of the public sector."
