Saturday, following the verbal or physical threats against several journalists and hostility against others, for some time in Petit-Goâve, journalists gathered in a General Assembly, during which they adopted a resolution to protect and enforce the rights of media workers.

Resolution :

"Anyone physically or verbally attack a journalist of Petit-Goâve, in the exercise of its functions will no longer speak to the microphone of local journalists and almost all the correspondents of the radio stations of Port-au-Prince. That this aggressor is from the opposition or of power in place or from any sector, it will hit with this sanction, as long it will not apologize to the journalist victim."

This resolution was adopted unanimously by the members of the three associations of journalists "Cercle des journalistes de Petit-Goâve", "L’amicale des journalistes" and the "Association des journalistes de la région des Palmes".
