Haiti - Tourism : Graduation of 9 students in Hospitality and Tourism
Wednesday after spending two years in Antigua, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-6607-haiti-education-training-in-tourism-in-antigua-barbuda.html where they were trained in Hospitality and Tourism (Food, Restaurant, Pastry, Keeping Room) and held internships in the largest hotels in the host country, as part of the training program of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF-Haiti Fund), 9 Haitian recipients received their certificates during a graduation ceremony at the room Toussaint of The Plaza hotel, in the presence of Michael Browne, the Minister of Education of Antigua, officials of the Government of Haiti and Antigua, officials of the Tourism Association of Haiti, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTCI) of their family and friends of laureates.

The ceremony of this Wednesday October 1 was an opportunity for those responsible of the project, Agnès Pierre-Louis and Louise John, to thank the sponsors and various partners in Haiti and Antigua without whom the study program, under the sponsorship of CHTEAF-Haiti Fund, would not have succeeded.

Jessy Menos, Secretary of State for Tourism, representing the Minister of Tourism absent due to the inaugural flight of American Airlines, wanted to encourage the young professionals graduated "Should I remind you that you have been trained to also create your own structures and pave the way for those who follow you, because you are also carriers of leadership."

Minister Browne, as well as some officials of Antigua, held 'words of praise' to express their satisfaction about the behavior and results of the recipients, who all succeeded in their curriculum with "honorable" mentions for some and "very honorable" for others. Encouraged by these results, Mr. Browne has promised two more years of full scholarship to another class of students that the CHTEAF would like to send in Antigua.

Note that Mlle Linsay Christina Denis, one of the graduates will join the team of the South Departmental Directorate of MTIC where she will be "Tourism Coordinator" responsible for creating a program of Tourist Guide at the level of department.
