Haiti - Justice : New failure to bring Aristide before the investigating judge

On Thursday, the investigating judge Lamarre Bélizaire sent a letter to Godson Orelus, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), formally requesting him to bring former President Jean Bertrand Aristide to his office on Friday at 10:00 am.
Despite this court order, the PNH has not executed the warrant, while several Lavalas activists shouting slogans hostile to the Government, were grouped outside the residence of the former President, in Tabarre, very determined to prevent any police action aimed at bring by force their leader.
A failure raising the question about the ability of the Haitian Justice to enforce the law, mandates and orders, and the reasons that the PNH not to meet the demand of justice by bringing by force former President Aristide before the investigating judge.
