Haiti - Politic : The opposition absent at the meeting for lack of invitation... 14/10/2014 12:23:45 At the origin of this absence, the invitation that should be sent to concerned by Senator Jean William Jeanty, was not sent to the correct address. Senator Jeanty explained, he expected the invitation letter to the office of his party "Kontra pèp la", but that the latter had been deposited in the Senate on October 8, when he was in the Dominican Republic, what explains why none of the opposition parties did not receive this invitation... Beyond this unfortunate imbroglio, the Senator of Nippes recalled that six entities of the opposition are not ready to participate in consultations, but in negotiations and that it is only after prior consultation between the parties concerned aimed at address the challenges and agree on a common agenda, there will be an invitation. Meanwhile, no new date has been set for the next meeting. A future meeting, that promises to be fairly bad if one refers to the call launched last Thursday for a general mobilization anti-governmental (17 and 26 October) by the "Patriotic Movement of Democratic Opposition" (MOPOD) and "Ayisyen pou Ayiti" who say there is "no question of going to discuss or negotiate with Michel Martelly. He must go, " strong of the support of popular organizations with tendency Lavalas, "Fòs Patriyotik pou Respè Konstitisyon" and the Organisation Tèt Ansanm (OTAN). Jonas Coffy, the responsible of "Ayisyen politique" announced meetings with four other political parties of the opposition, in order to convince them to join forces in the mobilization... Meanwhile, imperturbable, President Martelly is continuing consultations to find a solution to the preelectoral crisis and will receive for this purpose at the National Palace, this Tuesday, October 14th at the beginning of the afternoon, the former President René Preval.
