On Wednesday, President Michel Martelly, accompanied by his wife Sophia Martelly, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Duly Brutus, of rade and Industry, Wilson Laleau, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce Franco-Haitian and some other members of the private business sector, had a fruitful working lunch at the House of German Economy, with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry German.

This working session was an opportunity for President Martelly to promote the multiple business opportunities offered by Haiti and explain all efforts made by his administration to create an environment conducive to business.

"Today, I am here to tell you that my country has become a land of business and do not miss these opportunities available to you. Other German before you had invested successfully in Haiti," declared President Martelly who put forward sectors such as tourism, infrastructure and agriculture.

The Head of State, whose political vision in five "E" makes much of the employment, clarified for German entrepreneurs that Haiti is a country among the safest in the Caribbean region https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-7576-haiti-security-haiti-is-not-among-the-10-worst-destinations-in-the-world.html . He took the opportunity to welcome the Haitian-German cooperation adding "Invite you to come and do business in Haiti is perhaps also for us, a way of saying thank you to Germany for the assistance it has provided to us and continues to provide."

Following these fruitful exchanges, Hugo Kramer, President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry German, promised to send in 2015 an exploratory mission to Port-au-Prince to study opportunities to follow up on these discussions.
