Haiti - Elections : Who is Wilson Jeudy ?
Today we invite you to discover the candidate Wilson Jeudy (Fòs 2010)
Wilson Jeudy :
Why this Candidacy?
Wilson JEUDY, elected Mayor of the Municipality of Delmas, located in the heart of the metropolitan area of the Haitian capital, was born in Gonaives, also known as the city of Independence, on October 10, 1963. Married and a family man, an excellent father, this devoted Christian with a humble beginning, rooted in the struggles of the masses, has done most of his academic studies in his hometown. Very soon we find him at the forefront of youth movements in the 80s, demanding steadfastly at the time a more open, fair and democratic political system.
Accountant and customs officer, WILSON JEUDY is a Law School graduate and minored in Psychology and Sociology (Human Relations).
The first citizen of the town of Delmas has been alternately Justice of Peace, Director of Customs, Project Leader at TNH (Haitian National Television), and Project Supervisor at the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications.
After an exemplary and impeccable career in public administration and having received the mandate to serve as mayor of one of the largest municipalities in the country, WILSON JEUDY enters the Haitian Presidential Race seeking, asking and counting on your votes, fellow Haitian brothers and sisters to become the next president of our young republic. Together, we can change course and take charge of our destiny in our own hand as a nation, as a proud and resilient people.
Why this choice?
His term has not yet ended and according to all the reliable polls, Mayor JEUDY, unlike other elected politicians, could easily win a second term. But he chose the difficult challenge of going to the national level to continue the work he had begun within a local government and recognized even by his strongest critics.
Young, spirited, armed with courage and unwavering will, WILSON JEUDY derives his popularity with the masses, the middle class and even the elite, but enjoys much success and support among the Haitian youth.
In the ''letter to the nation” to officially announce his designation as a candidate for the Presidency, the General Coordinator of the Political Platform FORCE 2010 Emmanuel MENARD, presents WILSON JEUDY as the candidate of rupture, and says he is ''the representative of the young population that will ensure the presidency of the republic, with the effective participation of all Haitians, without exception, the transition to modernity, stability to end this never-ending transition cycle.
At a time of great national drift when those in power have failed and faced with the disastrous situation through which the population must struggle to survive, the candidacy of Wilson JEUDY inspires and brings new hope.
He proposes a radical and fundamental reform of government structures for the revitalization of the domestic sectors responsible for mass national production by strengthening the economy as we take bold and concrete measures aiming at a sustainable economic recovery accompanied with the reinforcement of our social values for a just and balanced society where justice and peace are not for the few but for everyone.
Youth in power, youth at work, are his credo that galvanizes the people already like the refrain of time carting the dreams of a people determined to use his valuable ballot paper.
With the nomination of WILSON JEUDY, in the hopeful words of Professor Gregory Eugene "The Haitian miracle is possible." "VERY TRULY, YES WE CAN!"
