Haiti - Security : New security measures in the capital
Pierre Estanislass Cantave Neptune, the Secretary of State for Public Security, announced new security measures during the holiday season, to protect the lives and property of all citizens of the capital.
As part of this strengthening of security, new cameras will be installed by the end of the month to monitor public places and other places known for criminal acts and on the other hand, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) will have new equipment.
In addition, nearly 1,000 police officers will increase the size of the PNH and will be deployed primarily in the municipalities of Pétion-ville, Delmas, and in the market of Croix-des-Bossales, where a revival of criminality has been observed in recent days. Noting that in the market of Croix-des-Bosales, there will now be a police presence at all times. In addition, one hundred agents of the Motorized Intervention Brigade (BIM) will be deployed and will add to the already active staff, throughout the metropolitan area by the beginning of December.
